The 9th Annual Mackinac Bridge Labor Day Run is a few months away, but the deadline for the lottery is coming up. May 31st is the last day you can submit your application.
Be a part of the tradition along with 400 other runners to cross the Mackinac Bridge at sunrise on September 3, 2012. The run is about 5 miles and put on by the Governor’s office, the Michigan Fitness Foundation, and the Mackinac Bridge Authority.
There are a few limitations, however. In order to be eligible, you must meet the following conditions:
- You must be 18 years old by September 3, 2012 (they will ask for proof).
- Michigan residents only.
- Must have participated in an event put on by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness between June 1, 2010 and May 31, 2012.
Rule: Runners who plan to run slower than 12 minutes shouldn’t enter. But don’t worry; you can still take part in the Labor Day Walk across the bridge at 7 am after the run.
So what are you waiting for?
