Michigan Trails Week 2013

20 09 2013

Join us in celebrating Michigan Trails Week, a week-long campaign highlighting events and volunteer activities happening in communities around the state. Michigan offers a vast and varied network of trails (motorized, non-motorized, and water trails), and you are invited to explore them all. Plus, this year, the week will end on National Public Lands Day, and to celebrate, participating local, state and federal parks in Michigan will offer free admission for the day.

Check out the calendar of events for the week here and find trails and other trail information here, courtesy of Michigan DNR!

Grab your friends and family, find a trail, and let the adventure begin. Welcome to Michigan’s woods and waters!

A BIG Thank You: Atlanta Chamber of Commerce

18 07 2012

On behalf of all the riders, volunteers and staff, the Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance (MTGA) would like to give a big thank you to the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Everyone’s hospitality allowed riders to unwind to music from a live entertainment and let loose with a little karaoke. With their warm welcome and generosity, Michigander riders truly enjoyed their stay in the Elk Capital of Michigan.

“It was nice for them to organize the activities for the Michigander participants.” Meredith Grimm, intern for MTGA, noted. “The music made us feel welcome and allowed riders to relax after a day of riding.”

Once again, we extend our gratitude to the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. If you are ever in the area, stop by and say hello.  Surrounded by beautiful woodlands and many area lakes, Atlanta is a popular vacation spot and always a great weekend destination. We know that you will enjoy Atlanta and its hospitality as much as Michigander riders did.
